Warrington Disability Partnership’s philosophy is that “information, advice and guidance are the keys to independent living”. We offer a wide range of services, including our internationally acclaimed Centre for Independent Living which has a large showroom and sales area. Our teams of advisors offer support on employment, training, education, Direct Payments, leisure, recreation and sport, support groups and services and welfare benefits. Our Access Advisor offers advice and support on making buildings and facilities suitable for the needs of disabled people.

Other services include a Shopmobility service in Warrington Town Centre, two access holiday homes in North Wales, an accessible narrow-boat and a Disability Forum, which bring together a wide range of local support groups and services, as well as individuals.

We operate a social enterprise, the Disability Trading Company, which offers a wide range of mobility and independent living solutions from four retail outlets, plus a Mobility Workshop and Service Centre located at the Centre for Independent Living.

We have over 200 volunteers who work across our services including staffing our Disability Help-line

For the past 24 years we have organised the annual Disability Awareness Day, which is acknowledged as the worlds largest, voluntary led, pan disability event. We also recognise and celebrate best practice in the field of disability related access and facilities through our annual Appreciation of Efforts Awards and North West Positive Action Awards.
